This homemade sleepytime salve is such an easy recipe to make and your loved ones and recipients will thank you for your (minimal) effort! Herbal Medicine Remedies make the best gifts! The REALLY great thing about this recipe is it’s so multi-functional. If you need it for healing purposes, use lavender oil in place of the peppermint, ginger and cinnamon. You can easily substitute other oils in this recipe as well!
Homemade Sleepytime Salve with Essential Oils
This homemade skin cream with essential oils is SO easy to make. You just put the jar of coconut oil in a bowl of hot water to to liquify and do the same with the beeswax. It’s only 4 tablespoons beeswax so not too much, just enough to bind the lotion together so it’s not all runny. Add your oils, whip and voila! Your gift is made. Just add to some pretty jars.
You can always change up the oils if you’d like to…sometimes lavender is the key to sleep and lavender and lemon is good together. Even lavender, lemon and peppermint. Just make sure you add about 100 drops of oil total, no matter which combination you use.
