How Do I Prepare the Baguette for Crostini?

To get your baguette ready for crostini, start by preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/4-inch rounds, keeping them even so they cook just right. Lay the slices out flat on a baking sheet, without overlapping them. For extra flavor, brush both sides lightly with olive oil and sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper. Toast them in the oven for about 7-10 minutes until the edges turn golden and crisp.
