Sweet Bran Cookies for Constipation

Yield: 36 Cookies


  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 Cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Wheat Bran Cereal
  • 1 1/2 Cups Quick Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips, optional


  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Cream softened butter and sugars with a mixer. Then add eggs and mix until well combined.
  3. Mix dry ingredients EXCEPT oats and bran in a small bowl. Add to butter mixture and mix together.
  4. Add oats, bran and mix well, with a spoon if needed. Mixture will be tough at this point. Then add chocolate chips, if desired.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to drop onto a cookie sheet about 12 pieces per pan.
  6. Bake 10-12 minutes or until tops are set and bottoms are browned.
  7. Let sit on pan for 5-10 minutes and then remove to a plate or cooling rack.
