Watermelon Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup White Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 4 Cups Cubed Watermelon (1/4 watermelon)
- 3-4 Cups Cold Water
- ½ Cup Freshly-Squeezed Lemon Juice (2 lemons)
- 6 Cups Ice Cubes
Instructions
- Boil the 1/2 cup water with the 1/4 cup sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
- Cut rind off watermelon and discard. Chop watermelon fruit into pieces and add to blender and pureé until mixture is juicy.
- Pour watermelon mixture through a mesh strainer into a bowl to strain the pulp. You might need to strain it twice.
- Add watermelon juice to your container with the sugar water.
- Cut the lemons and squeeze the juice out of them to make 1/2 cup of lemon juice. Add to watermelon juice.
- Add water and ice. Add mint if desired.
Notes
You can use 3 cups of water if you like your lemonade more "flavorful" or add extra water if you prefer. Or add some seltzer!
