I don’t know about you, but my dad is always impossible to shop for at any holiday. There are things he would like, but don’t you want to give a father’s day gift that will be enjoyed AND used? When I was a kid, I used to make him gifts, a few of which he still has. I love seeing the yarn-covered tin can on his dresser, a catch-all for pencils and loose change. As impractical as it was, I know he has treasured it for more than 30 years (gulp). As a grown-up, I have updated my gift-giving to more useful things. The following list includes some of the best eco-friendly Father’s Day gifts for every budget.

I share your frustration of shopping for dad. I always end up giving mine one of those quintessential "just in case" gadgets you mentioned, all of which inevitably end up collecting dust. The herb bombs are a fantastic eco-friendly idea, plus it sounds like they are also dad-fool proof (a huge selling point for me!) Another idea that is not so creative but nonetheless environmentally mindful is gifting dad an Ebook rather than a hard or paper back. Have you tried any of these out on your dad?
