I decided to skip ahead to food since I am knee-deep in party planning and trying to finalize the menu of kids party food. The problem is, I keep finding really fun, natural homemade food ideas for my preschooler’s birthday party! She actually requested tuna salad, so that is on the list, and she loves pickles and vegetables so basically everything is good to go except cottage cheese and black olives! Since she’s been asking for watermelon basically since the season ended last year, I am finally giving in, but only in the way of watermelon lemonade. I can’t seem to convince her it won’t taste good on its own this time of year but I have a feeling she’ll take it however she can get it! Yes, there is sugar added to it, but I am going to try and whittle down the amount as much as I can.
Check out the ideas below for kids party food – everything I chose is natural ingredients and healthy foods that are fun to eat. Click on the links below each batch of images for the recipes on each respective site. The cute and EASY skillet muffins shown in the photo above can be found here at Happy Green Mama.
First up, my preschooler LOVES roll ups, thanks to Nana, who made one with cheese one day when we were traveling in the car. It was the prefect car food! But in this case, the roll ups are not being made to travel, so I am planning on adding a few more ingredients to them.

Hearty Birthday Foods
It’s always hard to find protein-rich foods that kids will eat, but the recipes below are great hearty kids party foods. You can always substitute the beef for turkey or just beans and a different vegetable for the cucumber. I can say that my preschooler absolutely loves the sliders and asks for them all the time!
Drinks and Fruit
I really wanted to do something special with the fruit and I am so excited I stumbled on this idea to use popsicle sticks! The watermelon lemonade is a must and the smoothies are always a good idea for a filling yet yummy drink or snack.

So now I have all these ideas of fun things to make for the kids party food but I can’t decide! Can you help?
