It’s the middle of August which means that if you have kids they have just gone back to school or are getting ready to go back. Whichever situation you are in, you are likely struggling with the thought of changing the routine. Again.
The school year routine takes some getting used to. I am not good at change and it always takes some time for me to adjust. Thank goodness where we live in New England my kids go back to school for 3 days and then they have 4 days off for Labor Day weekend. How sweet is that? It always helps to ease back into things.
Meal plans are an easy way to reach your health and lifestyle goals.
Here’s a meal plan to get you started for next week. Hopefully it will help take some of the stress out of your week by having one thing done and planned for!
Healthy Meal Plan August 16
- Monday – I love to have meatless Mondays. It helps make crazy Mondays a bit easier to handle. These Moroccan White Beans are super easy to cook up and serve with crusty bread and a side salad or corn on the cob.
- Tuesday – Crockpot Drumsticks
This one is beyond easy and my picky 11 year old loves them. Just put the drumsticks in the crockpot, smother with barbeque sauce, and cook on low for 6-7 hours. - Wednesday – Sweet and Sour Cocktail Meatballs and Macaroni and Cheese
I like to mix up the meatballs very basic with bread crumbs and egg and bake them in the oven while preparing the macaroni! - Thursday – Orzo with Shrimp and Feta
This is an easy way to get more fish in your diet! My kids and husband absolutely love this dish and always ask me to make it. - Friday – Here is an easy Pizza Casserole that you can whip together in minutes so that you can relax with some delicious but not unhealthy comfort food on a Friday night!
