This homemade skin salve with essential oils is SO easy to make. You just put the jar of coconut oil in a bowl of hot water to to liquify and do the same with the beeswax. It’s only 4 tablespoons beeswax so not too much, just enough to bind the lotion together so it’s not all runny. Add your oils, whip and voila! Your gift is made. Just add to some pretty jars.
You can always change up the oils if you’d like to…sometimes lavender is the key to sleep and lavender and lemon is good together. Even lavender, lemon and peppermint. Just make sure you add about 100 drops of oil total, no matter which combination you use.

Homemade Sleep Salve Recipe
20 drops cinnamon bark
20 drops ginger
20 drops peppermint
20 drops lemon
20 drops grapefruit
1/2 cup organic virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons beeswax pastilles
1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil (optional)
Melt the coconut oil and beeswax pastilles in a microwave-safe bowl or in a double-boiler on the stove. Once melted, add the other oils and stir well. Remove from heat and add essential oils. Stir well and pour into container(s). Let sit until firm.
