Do you set weekly or monthly goals or even yearly goals? Well, I love planning my week and month ahead of time and crush those goals. It gives me a sense of satisfaction and some kind of joy for being able to reach closer to my dream.
Monthly Goals: 7 Questions to Ask Yourself Each Month
My mother used to have all of these little quirks and ways she liked to do things. But one of the things she talked a lot about were goals. She said you always need to have a five-year goal. I really have a hard time making goals for 5 years but monthly goals or 3-month goals are easier for me.
It just seems like a few weeks ago that I planned my yearly goals for this year and we already are halfway through the year. Time indeed flies super fast while we keep waiting for the day, month, and year to change. But the good news is we still have half of the entire year left to grab those goals and work on our dreams.
We all have heard of the saying, “With every new day comes a new opportunity.” It really depends on us how we are grabbing and utilizing that opportunity. I always ask myself a few questions at the beginning of the month to stay on track and crush my goals. I would highly recommend you to do the same and check your gradual progress.
Goals big and small can be the stepping-stones to a happier life and the way we set them can make a difference to achieving them. Find out how in the sections below.
Here are some questions you should ask yourself at the beginning of every month.
- How do I want to feel this month?
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction,” Newton stated this as his third law of motion but this is a real fact-based on Karma. We all are aware of how karma hits back for the deeds and actions we do. So, the first thing in your mind should be to think about yourself. How do you want to feel?
- What would satisfy me for the month?
Don’t be so hard on yourself for you are not growing rapidly. We all have different journeys and you know yourself more than anyone else can. Set small goals that would make your month quite satisfying and work for them honestly.
- Where do I want to be at the month’s end?
The way through this journey is pretty clear but we need to work for it. Once you have set goals for a month, work effortlessly for them, and be your own critique. You can develop your own lifestyle if you stick to something with self-discipline.
- Where does the fun lie?
You may have heard people complaining about their workspaces. The fact behind that is we are humans and we need breaks. You need vacations and breaks from your daily routine life. You need to work but you don’t need to work as efficiently as machines. Choose the time for thinking and fun activities to just be truly who you are.
- What changes do I want in myself?
Go for a change and work upon yourself. It can be working out and jogging or choosing a healthy diet over everything. Start with a walk, breathe some fresh air in, and eventually, you will feel the vibes yourself. Don’t let the demons inside control you.
- What should I advise myself for this month?
Life teaches a lesson at every point. Learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat it. Think of a problem from every dimension possible and always take the stand for yourself. Be someone who leads rather than being just another follower.
- How should I manage my expenses?
You know what you want. So, just sort out yourself for what you truly need. Save for yourself and invest in something meaningful rather than looking for materialistic happiness everywhere.
Try asking these questions at the beginning of every month for the change you are looking for in your life. Just hold on and start working on yourself. Sending all the good vibes and peace in your way always.
