Do you eat breakfast? I’m not talking about eating something on the fly, while driving the kids to school or trying to get to work on time. I mean, do you actually sit down and eat breakfast? I admit, I am guilty of this most days. I try and get something hearty in my body in the morning, because I know it affects how I feel the rest of the day. Next time, why not try this Granola Recipe before you leave in the morning, or at least make it up so you can eat it as soon as you are done with the morning rush. If it’s sitting there, you are more likely to eat it, right? Now, I’m not a yogurt person, but I will definitely swap it out with milk or almond milk!

I know what you are probably thinking – who in the world doesn’t like yogurt?! But, it’s true, I just can’t stand it. The texture is weird for me and I just don’t like it. I don’t even like it in smoothies, unfortunately. I know how healthy yogurt is, too! Dairy issues aside, yogurt has a lot of benefits.
Probiotics are “friendly bacteria” that are naturally present in the digestive system. Live strains of these “good bacteria” are also found in many yogurt products. While more research needs to be done, there’s some evidence that some strains of probiotics can help boost the immune system and promote a healthy digestive tract. – WebMD
Power Granola Breakfast Recipe
- 1 Cup regular oats
- 1/8 Cup chopped almonds
- 1/8 Cup maple syrup
- 2 Tsp sunflower oil
- 12 oz Greek yogurt
- ¼ Cup raspberries
- ¼ Cup chocolate chunks
- 1 Tsp mint leaves (chopped)
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Spray non-stick cooking spray on a baking pan.
- In a bowl combine the oats, almonds, maple syrup, and sunflower oil.
- Take the mix to the baking pan and spread.
- Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until golden.
- When done, set aside to cool at room temperature.
- Serve in a bowl the yogurt.
- Top with the granola, chocolate, raspberries, and mint.
- Serve and enjoy.
Make a big batch and save for more breakfasts.
