I’ve always been interested in health and nutrition but have never actually succeeded in convincing my parents this way of life can be rewarding while still appealing to your taste buds. They are convinced (or used to be) that meals have to contain meat and snacks either sugar or salt to be tasty. Do you know food can be healthy and flavorful at the same time? If you are subscribed to Happy Green Mama I suspect you do. If not, get on moving and subscribe here to get busy living a more natural life!
Why NatureBox
I received a sample of NatureBox treats last winter and my family finished them inside of a week, which was no surprise. Trail mix, dried fruit, sweet nutty clusters…my clan would not leave those sitting around the house! It wasn’t until I decided to send a box to my father a few months ago after his near-death experience and week-long hospital stay. His doctor has been adamant about him following the 5-small-meal-a-day plan – which of course my father thinks is merely a suggestion. I thought Nature’s Box snack bags would be perfect for him to munch on during the day to get extra protein and fiber so he could recover quickly. It was a good plan, but did not happen as I imagined.
I had forgotten about the subscription until my mother mentioned another shipment, and she was quite pleased with it! Having recently been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, it’s imperative she eat healthy foods with no chemicals or preservatives. Knowing that NatureBox was taking care of this, I felt relief. Mom and my 1 year old both love the fruity figgy bars – I wish I could order them in bulk!
I am not one to push products on people, but Nature Box has amazed me. As a designer, I love their packaging. It’s simple and clean (design-wise) and it’s so fun to see what’s new each month in the cardboard box.
NatureBox Helping Others
Besides being totally healthy and making snacks you can feel good about enjoying, they also give back! They make donations to WhyHunger, a program that is working to “end hunger and poverty by connecting people to nutritious, affordable food.” NatureBox also donates directly to organizations, emergency food providers and meal programs for kids in need.

No Worries, Just Snacking
I don’t know about you, but I am always checking labels on my food, whether in the grocery store, at home, or even online. I am very very picky about what my family eats and now what my parents eat, being a household fighting cancer. NatureBox makes it so easy to snack without having to worry about the ingredients. You know that whatever you choose it will be yummy AND healthy. I love getting the box of snacks in the mail and have them at the ready for at-home snacking or munching on-the-go.
