How Do You Prepare Apple Slices So They Don’t Turn Brown?
Apples are one of the best snacks around – they are delicious, healthy, and easy to eat on-the-go. However, there’s nothing worse than slicing up an apple and watching it turn brown before you even have a chance to take a bite. Luckily, there are a few simple tricks to keep your apple slices looking fresh and crisp.
First, try soaking them in a bowl of cold water with a splash of lemon juice – the acid in the lemon juice will prevent the apple from oxidizing and turning brown. Alternatively, you can sprinkle a little bit of salt over your apple slices to draw out the moisture and keep them looking fresh.
So next time you’re packing an apple for a snack, give these tricks a try and enjoy those crispy, refreshing bites of apple all day long!
